The District Journey

Walk through
one Texas district.

From the plant gate to the Board table: the facilities, technology and public safety resources DDG helps districts understand, manage and improve.

01 Physical Security

Every facility begins at its edge.

A water plant entrance: fence line, controlled gate, credential reader, lighting and a camera on the approach. The perimeter decides who can reach the equipment that keeps water running, so DDG starts by testing how this edge actually performs.

02 Physical Security

A camera only helps if it sees what matters.

Placement, field of view, image quality and who reviews the footage decide whether video supports a response or simply records a loss. Coverage is mapped against the district's real risks, not a product catalog.

03 Physical Security

No single device protects a facility.

Barriers, locks, credentials, lighting and video work as layers. When one is tested, the others confirm what happened and who needs to know.

04 Operational Resilience

When something happens, everyone knows what to do.

Policies, procedures and a practiced response plan decide how fast a threat is recognized, who is notified and how the district keeps operating. Every incident is documented and escalated the same way.

05 OT Cybersecurity

Make sure the controls aren't exposed.

Controllers, operator workstations and vendor connections can be reachable from outside the plant without anyone realizing it. Specialized assessment finds what is exposed and who can reach it, then confirms each gap is closed.

06 Public Safety

District security extends into the community.

Trails, pavilions and playgrounds need lighting, clear sight lines, posted rules and the right technology, reviewed with the same discipline as a treatment plant.

07 Law Enforcement

Patrol is a resource the Board should be able to measure.

Coverage and activity are evaluated against district priorities, then reported in terms the Board can act on.

08 Board Oversight

Separate systems. Separate providers.

Assessments, video, access records, incident reports, patrol activity and OT findings come from different sources. DDG brings them together into one independent view for the Board.

08 Board Oversight

Where it all comes together.

Every gate, camera, assessment and patrol shift becomes part of one report the Board can act on. On the table: DDG's sample District Dossier, anonymized.

08 Board Oversight

A briefing built for the Board.

The District Dossier turns calls for service, incident patterns and ALPR activity into a concise briefing: what happened, what changed, where resources are going and what needs action.
